You can watch Yasuomi Umetsu’s Clockwork Girl online for a week before its Blu-Ray release.

Japanese only, obviously edited for public release.

SBR has begun, so once again settling in for the bittersweet david production experience where they get the pacing and tone spot on but i will never stop wishing they had like bubble era ova money to do more flamboyant animation and drafting

I’m start to watching Chio’s School Road, 2 episodes every night and now it’s ep.3. But not much context deserves to revisit like Daily Lives of High School Boys, I guess I will sell it when I finish.

The whole I Have No Mouth sequence at the end of the latest ep was sooooooooo good. Gonna be agonizing waiting 3 months for the finale.

A few of my theories might be correct. The characters might be brain scans that are trapped on a computer running in a random office. in the 8th episode there’s a file called “brainscans (obsolete)” and I feel like it makes the most sense. but now I’m wondering what “abstraction” really is and how it might be reversible, since I feel like they’re going to bring the original characters in some way .

The wait for the finale is going to be agonizing lol. I feel like they’re going to have a lot to tie up in the final hourlong episode.

I really hope this is the case too. Them not actually having bodies to return to makes them have to confront what that means, in all its horror, which is just a whole lot more interesting than the notion that they just leave and return to normal life. This would also be supported by the fact that most of them seem to have maybe died or gotten into accidents before appearing in the circus.

A friend pointed out that the dog, Scratch, one of the programmers that Kinger said was particularly creative and experimental with his work, had a tumor and had limited time left. Maybe this is the case for all of them.

I think what’s happening is some people wandering into the C&A office put the headset on and accidentally scan their brains, unaware they have a clone trapped in a simulation. While others are scanned by a medical company for some reason. So some characters could be alive in the real world while others only exist as copies in the simulation. I think one cool thing would be for the characters to find and connect with their real world selves or find out what happened. or failing that I want it to end like that episode of Treehouse of Horror where 3D homer goes into the real world

in a different world where flash still exists someone makes a series called The Amazing Digital Crackhouse that is incredibly crass, goes for 3 episodes, and the creator becomes a show runner for cartoon network 10 years later

My only memories of that show are the ones where Chio is being an insufferable westaboo and her love of Tripple A games like CoD and AssCreed. A refreshing mirror on the other side of the ocean.

i love anime where a mysterious silver haired charismatic leader falls in love with the big guy he hired as his swordsman

(great show i think i like zettai shonen a tiny bit more but this is the ultimate late-era naturalist mochizuki anime)
