crunchyroll accidentally dropped the new dorohedoro trailer before expected. release on the first of april, songs by the same group that did the incredible OP from the first season.

the trailer itself is waaaaay too hectic, but seems it’ll cover a good chunk of the remaining story. first season covered about a third of the whole thing, so i’m imagining this one will be similar.

Introduced my partner to Villainess Level 99 yesterday. This one is a lot of fun to watch with someone else because it starts with an extended “fake main character” joke. And when at the ten-minute mark it’s still doing it, you start to go: wait, did I actually click on the wrong anime or something? And sure enough, around that point she turned to me like, what’s going on here??

Then in the second half of the episode, when it introduces the actual Villainess, the show’s already used up so much time that it has to cover her whole life story in a rushed montage

Speaking of accidental uploads Studio Khara sent takedown notices to people who were distributing the camrip of the even exclusive evangelion 30th anniversary short and in the process included a 4K file IN said notice that was then leaked online to the point where just to save face Khara’s now put the entire thing on youtube even though they said they weren’t going to do that.

Weirdly less cursed idea than live action Cowboy Bebop to me and I couldn’t tell you why.

Ok so I was digging through my old YouTube favorites, like, high school old. And I hadn’t thought about this series in years:

Not only did some of the jokes still actually hit, they managed to not be racist or homophobic, practically unheard of for a cartoon of this vintage.

My big thought here is: so wait, who the hell are these guys? For zero budget YouTube animation from almost two decades ago, the writing is really good.

Turns out they created Craig of the Creek???

And it further turns out that the characters from this are in Craig of the Creek

specifically modeled after their outfits from the first video featuring the characters:

anyway, had to tell somebody about this because I’m losing my goddamned mind.

the stuff they are pirating is so exactly close to my exact media diet at the time it’s kind of ridiculous this must be what it’s like to be ten years older than me and watch the venture bros. this honestly explains so much about craig of the creek as a whole!

Zootropolis 2 is half-baiting the furries, half-Wallace and Gromit punnery, half trying to outfake the audience expectations on the villain, half-greatest hits album of characters from the first film like we’re posting memes into the script.

They shcroedinger-acknowledge the existence of mixed species couples with Nick and Judy undercover as a married couple but do not ask the thousand questions we all have.

Disney choose not to include any mention of Arby’s due to the dalmatian effect. They couldn’t live with themselves if they were the cause of someone eating Arby’s.
