Blizzard TF2

I am playing this as a social event for some good friends. JunkRat for life.

Edited that post. Also I am jsnlxndrlv#1916 on Blizzard.

So, I just picked this up. My ID’s OneSecond#11675. Letz play this!

Ya’ll gotz my blizz.

I’m really liking this still. I don’t really care about anyone bitching about unlocks or whatever. The grind is fine, and none of it really matters.

What gets me is i’ve been seeing articles about ā€˜not picking a main’ and IDK. I say let people play how they want so long as they aren’t jerks or tellin’ other people. I’ve seen teams of the same character win hands down. Seen no healz, no tanks, it can all be fun.

But no mains because ur supposed to switch characters all the time? I mean sure it’s good when you’re ready to. But if you jump around all the time it’s hard to perfect what you’re doing, or get better with anyone. Beyond that people saying choosing a main (nobody here, but out there in the wild internet) is dumb. If you’re saying people can’t get good enough with a character to deal with a load of situations, you’re saying the game is shallow and doesn’t have depth. I think it does but you’re not gonna get really good with once character unless you focus.

the most reliable way to get good/climb in any competitive game with characters/classes is to pick one and stick with it for as lonng as you can stomach it. there’s really no argument against that that makes any sense

True, but especially if you’re going pubbing, it helps to have a couple different types of heroes in your pocket to fill out roles, or try to shift momentum.

Yeah, I mean, I have a clear main that I like (Zarya 4 ever), but I try to have a character in each of the 4 groups I can play as that I can bust out for team balance/situational needs. So Pharah, JunkRat, and Lucio are like my secondaries, but if given my druthers, I roll with the giant Russian.

So this may sound very presumptuous but has anybody gotten a Battle.net friend invite from me yet? Because so far not a single person has added me and I sent invites to pretty much anyone who has posted their IDs. It’s totally fine if you decline and all but I’m just wondering if there’s some technical issue on my end or if I don’t understand the friend adding process of this client.

I haven’t been home all day, so I haven’t seen one, but I will totally add you if I do. Bnet is weird sometimes though.

Probably too late for most probably but was surprised to find that the physical PC version of Overwatch Origins Edition was 10 bucks cheaper then buying it digital, comes in a very nice box, and contains codes for Jaina Proudmore in HotS and a free Hearthstone cardpack along with all the other Origin Edition stuff.

Does anyone know what happens when you ā€œPreferā€ a player? You get this by right clicking their name either in chat or in the Social section of the game menu. You can also Not Prefer a player from here. Does it match you when possible to these in the future or just try to keep you together when moving to the next match like a soft group. I don’t really expect anybody to know but the more that fiddle with it the faster we’ll find out.

shit I bought this I’m in it now

Oh god, I figured it out. Turns out that Bnet friends list are not cross-region. Just tried starting with the Americas servers and there I had 3 invites waiting. I’m guessing that nobody here actually got my invites? If you ever happen to log in on Europe servers then mine should be sitting there for you. Oh well, at least my progress seems to carry over when I switch game regions. I’ll just check the American servers every once in a while to see if any of you are online.

So in summary
PROTIP: When posting your Battletag make sure to include your game region as well.
Or, at least if you’re not American I guess.

this may be the first blizzard game i’m interested in since vanilla wc3

still kind of sitting on the fence and watching how it plays out over a couple balance patches though

real? I would have gotten that over the regular digital…

I keep getting booted out of skirmishes without finding a game. what’s the point. been here for ten minutes watching loading screens

jesus I’m so bad at this game holy shit

who you maining as?

idk, no one has caught my attention. I don’t know that I feel strongly enough about the game to be entertained without jumping around aimlessly between characters like an idiot. I end up playing healers more than most stuff, because healers take no skill and I’m pragmatic.
