as someone who saw The Fall Guy in a movie theater during its Quixotic theatrical run, I am incensed that the Universal-licensed Stuntman game does not contain any The Fall Guy material, a movie where the main character used the skill of being able to drive a speedboat backwards with his hands tied up that he learned doing the Miami Vice stuntshow at Universal Studios Hollywood as a major plot point
The gelatinous cube in Mom of War is making me slightly angry that, despite my best efforts, I’ll never be able to write something as stupid as a AAA videogame.
Love the sound and exploration quirks shown in The Aching. I’m already wishlisting one new game I’d not heard about which is one more than the other shows so far.
I think Sony said they weren’t going to put their marquee games on PC anymore. I wonder if that meant just stuff they developed or if it meant everything they published.
Sea Salt City also piquing my interest. Made for the Bigmode Game Jam with the theme of ‘slick’
How does your game represent “Slick”?
“Slick” made me think of all the action games where I felt that way, and that made me want to put all the memories of playing those games into one thing. Gameplay mechanics like grading systems and slow motion, but also things like music, or the nostalgic feeling of looking back on slick moments. For this game, Slick is more about putting together memories.
thanks to anyone who came by! you can ofc watch the stream on the video linked above. also the description has been updated with links to all the games. and Melos made a backloggd list of everything here:
The common reading I have seen, which may have been coraborated in an earnings call, is that multiplayer games will be cross platform, and single player games will be PS only.
