ANIMAL HARVEST

I did the Reese and Cyrus event probably 15-20 times last month. I WANTED ALL THAT EXCLUSIVE FURNITURE. And I got all of it, plus a couple duplicates. Need them pews. Need them pipe organs.

At first I was trying to design tasteful sets but then I realized all Reese wanted was colors, and the sets of colors available for the wedding furniture corresponded to her three set ideas entirely. By the end, I was just filling up the room like this

That’s 15 heart crystals right there.

I also got bored and started trying to make it look like various disasters were happening. Like things being on fire.

EDIT: Of all the weirdos in this game, these are the two biggest freaks. A MONTH taking rando anniversary “recreation” photos at some hippie’s house?

I have been meaning to share my attempts at happy anniversary snaps too, might do that later.
I couldn’t work out how to get other villagers to be involved, the tab was always empty

It turns out you just had to keep going day after day. Eventually they have you throw an “actual” reception in which you can invite your islanders, Harv, and Wilbur. After that Reece starts having you design wedding scenes with different color schemes.

Ah really, I stopped going after getting the pipe organ because I thought that was the end prize

swimming is honestly a lot of fun just to be able to see your island and it’s landmarks from a different angle. i like having another little checklist, recipes, and npc around. i noticed a couple of other changes like “do you want this?” is now the more specific “here’s a gift”. you don’t have to keep chasing after sararah now after every interaction and there’s a proper “trade for tickets directly” option now. they also fixed an animation bug where one of my characters just stood in front of the workbench without hammering when they had a diy. also i managed to fill up my entire inventory so i guess i gotta do some cleaning/organizing/crafting

Also heads up that the horseshoe crab is like the snapping turtle in that it’s placeable form has no cage and is interactable. I can’t wait to get tons of these guys.

Anyone get gifted an art piece by a villager? One of mine mailed me a gallant statue (Michelangelo’s David) and I was all excited about having a non-painting piece to donate but it was a fake…
Felt it would be a good addition to my barely readable crime scene/creepy voyeur dungeon room of sorts gone wrong but it’s even more of a mess now (nsfw statue)

the “throwback” theme is so weird. like generally it’s just “boys room” but it’s so incoherent. racecar bed, rocketship dresser, robot clock, skull radio, dinosaur screen, sports furniture…it’s not like an actual child it’s like calvin from calvin and hobbes’ room

It’s not the best price, and folks probably don’t need money at this point very much, but my turnips are at 189 for the next 3 hours, more or less. Gate’s open.

Mine went down to 25 this week, I didn’t know it could go that low

Gates are open if anybody wants to pool our efforts in the fishing tourney!

Likewise; this would have taken three times as long if you hadn’t come over! I appreciate it!
