@boojiboy7 i am here to tell you that i donāt think you stand in the ring even with the entire boxing set as far as i can tell
also i donāt believe there is even a barricade or the small mat item at all in new horizons?
all those features might be new leaf only
i could be wrong tho

If thereās one thing lunchroom rumors about reviving General Leo have taught me, itās that weāll discover 20 years from now that there was always a way to stand in the ring in ACNH, but to do it you have to use an unpatched version of the game, and you have to make a character with a weird name to exploit obscure data-loading edge-cases and manipulate RNG-calls to bring about circumstances that will permit a seemingly unrelated action to cause a variable to roll over and code to inject, after which the out-of-bounds NPC glitch will permit your character to stand on top of beds. After you accomplish this trick, though, the next time the game loads the room, youāll find that the boxing ring has transformed into four polka-dot sweater dresses.

Whoa, they did a lot more than I expected with diving. Donāt know if I can handle more museum donations when catching the summer stuff has been so rare for me, but itās cool to have oneās fish live in even more detailed diorama worlds with more sea life.
And that treasure hunt BGM might be one of the few tracks I like in this but I think I just have a woozy synth pad problem.
Hmm I wonder how this is going to work for us Southern Hemisphere-ers
Do we need to wait til november before this stuff is available or are we going to be able to swim the icy seas?

Nah, swimming was in New Leaf and it was available year-round; just like fishing, the sea life you can collect will vary over the course of the year. Iām sure yāall will be ready to take on the Melbourne Camp just as soon as this update launches next month.
played the bug off to gold trophy level just to make up for not getting all the stuff during the spring fishing tournament tbh
kind of funny seeing the bug spawn rates suddenly go down as soon as the timer starts like all the bugs just peace out knowing that theyāre being hunted

My favorite thing to do is snipe a bug thatās being hunted by the residents on my island right out from under their noses and then watch them clap for me.

This was a lot easier for me to get gold than the fish-off because bugs could spawn anywhere including on bodies of water and you spend a lot less time waiting around or making bait. I feel like you can only really get the gold fish-off trophy with help from other folks or working on points right when it opens.
So, Iāve been trying to make an honest effort is giving Reese her perfect set of wedding photos. Every time I do, she gives me a middling review and a shrug. Just doesnāt like what Iām putting down:
