I was a huge fan of Pilot Wings Resort on the 3DS and to a lesser extent the N64 Pilot wings. I also loved the depth of control you had with helicopters and jets in Battlefield 3. Are there any other games that focus on flight, but aren’t super technical like MS Flight Sim? What are your favorite games involving flying?
Sky Odyssey. I believe it was a launch title on the PS2. I highly recommend it if you’re into this sort of thing.
Sounds pretty good. I’ll have to check it out.
Yeah, Sky Odyssey is exactly what you want, and is also an incredible game.
now I miss yarusenai
Yeah, Sky Odyssey is what I was gunna say too. It’s great. Also once you’ve played through it take a look at a FAQ or something, just to get a sense of all the other cool stuff in there.
what is yarusenai?
oh yarusenai is an SB poster who hasn’t been around for a while. they talked a lot about sky odyssey, that’s all. you could potentially search for the thread with those posts!
I think I will just try the game. It’s only $5.
If we were ever going to get the Burnout 3 of plane games, it would have been early ps3/360 era, huh?
Maybe if I ask nicely the little baby team that is Criterion now will listen to me.
I want a Daytona of planes, just a bunch of biplanes dumped out of the back of a cargo plane to start, hurtling towards the earth. Diving Start. Pull up and start racing
That sounds great. I love OutRun 2006.
Something like the newer Ace Combat games would be the closest thing to Burnout 3 with planes.
That’s true, but I always imagined it would have made-up WWII airplanes by made-up companies.
This is a very important part of the dream.
there was a new ACES title announced for the PS4/VR… so it is one of the games that obviously would make me consider shelling out the $$$ for VR…
I want to say Toy Commander even though I never played it
pushes up glasses msfs? technical? hah! loud snorting
war thunder is pretty fun
did someone say sky odyssey?
it’s not exactly what you’re looking for but you really can’t go wrong with it if you like flying and you like fun!
I will seek this out, thanks for mentioning it!
