Please do give it a shot! I’ve sunk about 50+ hours into it thus far (first time playing it) and I can confirm it’s VERY forgiving. There’s just too many variables in play to balance it perfectly, so just hit the level cap before the story missions and you should be good to go, even if you play sloppy.
ball with feet alert
damn, richard linklater’s no longer fucking around
unrelatedly, just discovered a new sequel to Franko: The Crazy Revenge is coming out somehow
Crowdfunded nine years ago as “Franko 2: Revenge is back”, constantly bouncing between devs ever since then and leaving a trail of tears in its wake (including tears of fans who eventually sued), reportedly had no properly prototyped combat system half a decade after entering dev, reportedly had no gameplay references newer than the Amiga version of Renegade, full of bewildingly juvenile right-wing adjacent memes that will be blisfully illegible to the Western audiences
Very curious how it will end up
sounds like someone got owned
this rules but also what version of the japanese song is this that properly has the “sight of night i cheer to embrace A magic” SONICTEAM backcronym, usually they skip the “a”. i don’t think it’s a fidelity thing
I can’t rememeber the thread that people were talking about scraping game faqs in, but someone put every text file on archive through March 2020
there are so many good html faqs too, wahhh the fandom takeover makes me so sad
the independent wiki alliances make me a little glad.
This is pretty amazing. I was the one who posted about my efforts to archive gamefaqs and put them on gopher. I can say from experience that it is a lot of work. I stopped when I got to the larger platforms like ps3 and especially pc. Even though pc is what I wanted the most, gamefaqs have the entire history of pc games in one category, regardless of operating system. So the way I was doing it, it would’ve taken more than a week of continuous downloading to get them all and I didn’t have a good way to resume.
I’m downloading these now and may put them all on my gopher site eventually, since this is obviously more complete.
I, uh, don’t mean to ruin Microsoft’s victory lap here but all videogame consoles used to turn off I’m glad they rediscovered that consoles use power??
Those consoles didn’t have long boot processes and digital distribution though
The booting is whatever but I kinda wonder if this will save energy overall when it comes to downloading games. 4W while the thing is in connected standby downloading stuff vs 400W while you sit there waiting for some 110GB AAA monstrosity to trickle in
Across the fleet of all xboxes it probably will I guess, surely most standby consoles are completely idle
for some reason it’s really hard for me to see this as a gameboy
