10,000 Bulletins: No One Can Stop the Presses! (Part 1)

This game (Demon Turf) seems great!!

Nifty. It’s made by the developers of Slime-san, a little game that I thought punched above its weight. It was just a meatboy-like precision platformer, but it had a great aesthetic and really tight controls. I was curious what they’d do next.

Nice I’m digging those graphics! I recently came across this game, might as well share:

Pretty impressed with its focus on movement which not a lot of 3D platformers nail/get terribly ambitious with imo. There’s a video on the same channel about swimming mechanics that also reveal the amount of thought put into feel and physics and how the game design is growing out of that primarily. The aesthetics aren’t anything to write home about but I’m gonna keep an eye on this one.

IDK if it’s just because it’s earning call season or what but every AAA publisher going ā€œyeah we’re looking into NFTs and blockchain gamesā€ within the span of a week has got me feeling dizzy.

The funniest part about it though

Shinra Technologies, named after the organization from Final Fantasy 7 , is headquartered in New York City with offices in Tokyo and Montreal. The new company has partnered with Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios, which also has offices in New York, to develop games and technology.

Watched a friend play this. It visually is amazing, the graphics are great, and combat is pretty fun.

Unfortunately, ammo isn’t really balanced great, so the person I was watching just completely ran out of ammo in the late game, with no way to get more, and had to painstakingly knife every enemy with near zero health. Every enemy took like 16 knife hits to die. The final boss was essentially impossible due to this, so, I don’t think he ever beat the game.

Looks like the creator intends to fix that, but as of right now, it’s still not patched in. And of course if you play it on Switch, that fix would take much longer to be implemented than on PC.

glad i bought those games last week!

If you do make fancy trailers where the gameplay won’t be able to match the prowess, do it with style:

:twinklestar:

This feels like Team Aces, so that’s as good as it can get, eh?
