What’s even wilder is Weird Al’s Cake style parody is also about finding the perfect woman but the singer can’t accept her because of his bizarre hangups, like in concept this is basically the same song? It’s a stylistic un-parodifying of a style parody of Cake??
(not linking actual music video because it is by sex criminal John K and it’s really not good enough to make up for that)
yeah but it has his voice and is ruined. i just cant stand that mans vocals. also it sounds like a church band covering a cake song

i don’t know much about this band at all (they came up in my phase of listening to a bunch of NZ indie rock circa like 2008 or so) but i like this song a lot. also the main singer guy’s hairdo is really silly

I’m working this up into a karaoke. Not this Phoebe Bridgersified version, like the original annoying punk one, but an octave down and yelling really loud
