Wii me?! No! Wii U!

I got the mechs and I saw @lonelyfrontier play the switch version for like 20 minutes. I think these two things (and stablizing hormones) broke the spell of the game to me. Maybe time to get off the smooth ride.

Star Fox Zero is better now than it was then. We’re all more familar with motion aimming. It truly really wants you to use the gamepad. There are no settings to make it quiet room friendly. You gotta have the characters talking out of your controller. Truly hostile elements. And the game is just Star Fox 64 AGAIN.

Kirby And The Rainbow Curse truly beautiful artwork. It’s Canvas Curse but on the gamepad instead of the DS. I could see me playing it with the kid around. The kid would not be able to handle the game. I can barely handle the game. I don’t think I like drawing lines then yelling at Kirby to do what I want. Beautiful though.

Yoshi’s Wooly World great art. This is a damning combination if Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Story. You do have stages with goals. I’m not sure who on Earth finds YoshStory’s Yoshi’s pleasant to listen to. Both this and Story feel like games for preschoolers and yet are too mechanically weird for a preschooler to play. You can’t tongue down. I had a middle class family and an n64 at the right time I played Yoshi’s Story. This is Story with Island’s collectibles. I don’t want to listen to Yoshi Yips any more they are playing in my head!

Good lord is that it? Guess I should put in my Mario Maker disc and maybe play the default courses. Rodea the sky soldier? Play Xenoblade for another 50 hours?

Wii U! What a console!!
