videogame things you think about a lot

The math definitely doesn’t work out for the Xbox-Gamecube crossover number, it’s over twice the total shown for total Gamecube games.

 the 138 is exclusive Gamecube, not total

there’s something screwy about it all, because the total of all the percentages is 125.1%

OHhhh well that explains some things. Gargh.

Fun thing for Shikigami 2 is it also got a PC port though not released outside Japan I believe.

Total games listed is 5,097

But checking a bunch of the percentages, they seem to total out to around 4,075 games (i.e. 2372/.582=~4075.6)

So yeah the percentages are wonky for sure. Not sure how they ended up at that number, as the total for the largest library (PS2) is slightly smaller (3,969), so its not that either. Weird chart.

Are they maybe double-counting greatest hits SKUs and repackages of stuff?

(from this 2 and a half hour long video retrospective)

maybe they forgot how many consoles they were dealing with (like whether they were including PC) and multiplied something by 5 instead of 4 to get 125 instead of 100

Mario Kart Tour has a Berlin track, complete with it’s own Berlin Wall. The implications of this for the mario universe…

would this imply that Thomps are DDR border guards!?!?!?
