the games you played today thread made me think of this but there was this guy i met like a year ago over battletech and he hasn’t talked with me in months because I said I thought jade empire was racist and that bioware doesn’t deserve a second chance at making a game about china and the whole time I didn’t even remember the made up star wars language everyone speaks instead of chinese

I have been able to correctly guess almost every game on the Guessthegame screenshot guessing game, and universally the most valuable information in figuring out what game is being shown is the color grading.
Tangentially related but it kind of weirds me out how I still know enough about games to get 98% of these right. I thought I’d stopped seriously following mainstream gaming news but I guess I haven’t.

fakefactory’s ridiculously ugly cinematic mod but specifically the infamous “king of space” screenshot where eli vance’s eyeballs are at war with each other
so hard to pick which alyx you want based off of the 3,000 models of anatomically correct adriana lima available to you but utterly effortless to have their glassy dead eyed stares haunt your dreams forever. Computer, set all the sliders in the “Character Pimper” to “extra sedated”
