Jet Set Radio wouldn’t be the same without Jurassic 5 though
Avril Lavigne was honestly a major part of my enjoyment of Burnout Paradise
I can’t even launch the cab properly at the start without. “Ya ya ya ya ya!”
And I don’t even like The Offspring
The mantra pulled forth; the ancient, unspoken compact fulfilled once more. In a comfortable, pleasantly illuminated room–in which tea could be served–Bryan Holland drums his fingers together rhythmically, the Grinch-like grin spreading to both corners of his mouth.
She was in that game???
Tragically Paradise only used the english version of Girlfriend. Dominator also had the Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese versions (although the cowards turned them off by default in the song selection menu)
BTW y’all I must have expressed this view before because my phone auto-completed that sentence.
Sorry for spam but,
(timestamped 4:18) this one shot of sonic jittering directly into the camera while furious pitterpatter sounds play
my primary association with Sonic 2006 is still the pokecapn/KungFuJesus/Medibot let’s play which i watched in spite of having next to no familiarity with SomethingAwful due to the insistence of an online friend who kept claiming it was like almost like this spiritual poetic cinema for him. i will say i heavily associate it with when i watched it in like 2010 which was a very intense emotional time for me so stuff that probably seems like nothing now did often felt like it had more spiritual meaning at the time. i would come home from work at this cafe to watch it.
i had to watch it via some external video site and slowly wait for me to download each individual video because it was too high quality for youtube at the time. it is on youtube now though:
it def has not aged well in several respects. however there is a bit of a Cinéma vérité element in how well it captures a specific moment in time of people’s lives and their gradual descent into madness.
i do miss the idea of a let’s play being something more idiosyncratic or poetic i guess.
my association with sonic 2006 is watching another SB’er play it in kentucky while @boojiboy7 played trans by neil young
that was the first time I heard trans… it’s still one of my favorite albums.
Were you not around when I got stupid drunk playing it?
And yeah, Trans rules so much.
it’s coming back to me now… sonic 40 hands
was thinking of karaoking it this year since i fucking sing this goddamn song enough
ok I need all the karaoke requests by like Monday night so I have time to do all that
