the look of that one reminds me a lot of legendary axe, a tg16 game that was weirdly a huge part of my childhood that i never hear anyone talk about anymore
Legendary Axe was amazing for the time. It was really big in my childhood too. I blame the lack of a mascot character for the lack of nostalgia for it now. It was all about DOING cool stuff, not about BEING a fun little dude.
i have legendary axe! itâs pretty good
the first boss is two bears
the second boss is a rock
I remember the bears! I donât know if I ever even got as far as the rock. I donât even remember how I acquired the game but I played that first level a lot. That and Keith Courage both have such a weirdly malevolent aura.
reject modernity, embrace tradition
HmmâŚI reckon Kirbyâs Pinball Land.
Iâm thinking either QBillion or Mole Mania
Boomerâs Adventure in ASMIK World
Monkey Puncher
I guess it canât be Urban Yeti cos itâs not a gba?
Titanfall things not copied by anyone or carried over into Apex:
- elimination match epilogue
- physical momentum-based wall running
- double scale infantry/mech map
- animations never leave first person
- âburn cardsâ as stochastic rubberbanding
- AI mobs in PvP
- Star Fox radio drama in multiplayer (lol ok ok)
I have to pretend Titanfall never existed to like Apex at all itâs such a bummer
I used to feel the same way about Chrono Triggerâs on-map nonrandom battles. And then later about FFXâs UI that tells you the next 5 characters who will act
this is in triangle strategy
I think itâs relatively common in SRPGs (HoMM3, PSP version of Tactics Ogre: LUCT has this, as well as Brigandine: Legend of Runersia, probably more) but not as often as it should in more âregularâ party based JRPGs.
The current title of the news thread makes me think of NâGasta! Kvata! Kvakis! every time my eyes scan past it
hey you know what great square rpg carries this forward
Legend of Heroes games do the turn look ahead and evade-able enemies on the ground.
you mean romancing sagaâs on-map non-random battles m8
