videogame things you think about a lot (Part 1)

Anyway I am playing Otogi 1 right now actually. With the Duke. I used to go to one of those rent a console cafes just to play it and now I own it. What a great fucking game.

I wish there were more games where you just chill and wander around big stages with a really flexible moveset that includes boost jumping and reaching areas you’re not supposed to. And where it’s hard sometimes to even figure out how to complete the objective, so you just enjoy it on a moment to moment aesthetic basis. Gunvalkyrie is almost this I guess.

i love this game, the demo blew my mind as a kid. Jumping and wooshing and then knocking some goblin into 3 walls is so fun!!!

I mean are they saying this just because pcs had access to internet porn?

no, because “actually seen” implies seen in person. i think the implication is console gamers are kids and PC gamers are adults? i just see it as the naturak progression from console game ads hating on arcade games.

I know i was just making joke :frowning:

oh :doomthunking:

The glitch in the original release of Link’s Awakening that let you walk out of bounds and do all sorts of fucked up things just by hitting select as you transitioned screens.

How much Andromedan Super-Cocaine the bassist must have inhaled to go this hard on this track

how the term “remake” and “remaster” has been used to market games in ways that completely muddy its connection to other mediums. this is honestly a big obsession for me, if only I could turn it into a productive one instead of a pedantic one!

this video has grown even funnier with age considering like a year ago packers fans were threatening physical violence against greg jennings for being black and questioning the orders of their shitty narcissist quarterback. GREG JENNINGS 49-20 FUCK YOU GUMBY!!!

how you can just like, inject cheats into your games with game genie/action replay/gameshark/etc.

The surprising thing about that to me is that such a variety of useful and relevant cheats involved changing only a couple of bytes. I might’ve guessed things like flight in SMB1 would need more involved ROM hacks
