The .chd (compressed iso) I ripped of Midway’s Greatest Arcade Hits Volume 1 (Dreamcast) is only 18.9 MB. ; )
I can hook you up
it’s so weird that the license expires??
I think that was to cut down on code sharing, as then you’d have to call Ambrosia and renew it & they could check if it had been renewed already
bit silly, if you had a group you’d arrange for only one to call and then share the renewed code. but since the codes are valid for ~10 years (255 fortnights) maybe you’d forget by expiration time
ah, they had a renewal server that the software would call periodically, so if it was down your license would still be valid for 10 more years
WB Games (“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment”) bought most of Midway Games’ assets after MG went through bankruptcy in 2009. They put a lot of them out in a 2012 PS3/X360 collection, Midway Arcade Origins–developed by Backbone Entertainment with Digital Eclipse emulation tech; Digital Eclipse had done a TON of Midway compilations on previous consoles Jeff Vavasour's VIDEO AND COMPUTER GAME Page --but have put out nothing using the Midway properties since then, aside for a ton of Mortal Kombats. It’s WB Games’ fault I can’t buy Joust on PC! = P

This is the same game that sees those elaborate truck protests in Korea right?
MMO culture is bizarre
the what?
I found the article I was thinking of. Apparently consumer rights activism but also apparently linked to identity politics surrounding some developers.
Can you imagine the lady in Demon’s Souls just randomly breaking out into the ending of that Space Ghost song while your wandering through the dungeon?
Accounting for inflation, the DDR competition from the 2004 webcomic would be the eighteenkay commotion today.

I just got a game disc off eBay with, on the data side, a prominent series of long, thin smudges in all directions, frenetically overlapping in some spots. Didn’t quite look like fingerprints. Could it have been a dog’s nose?
they can include a vhs tape but not an actual copy of the game or the soundtrack on a cd
