videogame things you think about a lot lot lot lot

maybe I am just old now but I am not excited for Deltarune chapters 3 and 4 which come out next week. I think the original idea behind undertale was really good and it works as a game. Deltarune chapter 1 felt kind of like it was doing the same thing, and chapter 2 felt like one elaborate set piece to another and is just underwhelming. I think all these chapters did was introduce new characters to make fanart of and music to make remixes of and memes.

I guesssssssssss i’m over the whole thing. After this there are three more chapters and I’m not sure how long those will take. sorta loathing the oncoming memes onslaught

I just found out Japan cared so little for Super Metroid someone hacked it into a porn game and it is only 300 bucks on yahoo auctions.

really hard to filter out creators worth supporting.

imagine there’s a SB store only sells art created by the members and you click the creators, it links to their posts.

this reminds me that the japanese super metroid hacking site has been conclusively dead for over a year now. the last time the wayback machine scraped it, there was a discord invite on the front page, and even that’s broken now

and, according to a friend who had joined the discord, even that place was a ghost town

That guy that shows up on every Nintendo post on Facebook (and sometimes shows up on gaming website comment sections) just to post a long list of all the positive scores for a specific game from various media outlets. If anyone comments to say something as innocuous as “I think I prefer to play this particular game on PS4” or “You forgot ___, they game it a 7/10” he tells them to fuck off or call them slurs.

The console wars never ended for him, he’s just been fighting away and occasionally raises his Atragon from the oceans to give us his battle reports

isn’t there a thread about “what do you think of when people say video games?”? … this is what I’d like to think of 8)

this game has an incredibly good soundtrack album that was released for it btw

found out about it from Macaw’s stream several years back. i used a couple of tracks (“Vengeful Witch” and “Techno Troubadour”) on one of my Abyss game music mixes.

this rabbithole has taken me further away,

and when — if — i’ll ever return, I’ll listen to it!

(and there were some scary detours hidden inbetween,

or some seriously cool piano jazz recordings for Deutsche Grammophon

)
so it was indeed worth it already :star_struck::ok_hand:

This is incredible, like if the music from Drakengard was actually good.

I love Teamlab! They even worked on a production of Turnadot a few years ago!

I caught so much hell for this as a kid, but I got a copy of Zelda 2 from Goodwill, without a manual, and also wasn’t patient enough to read the opening scrolling text, and played via a quadruple daisy chained RF connector, so when the game starts and Link is standing next to this:

TurkeyDinner

I thought it was a nice turkey dinner feast he was leaving behind to go adventuring.

Surely…surely I can’t be the only one…

Edit: Just to explain, just to defend my child self…I thought Zelda’s head was a cornucopia, her arm a leg bone, and her skirt/legs the rest of the turkey.

A delicious meal that’ll have to wait til Ganon’s forces are once again put to rest.
