UFO 50

what do you mean when you say you played conservatively?

I usually saved the little guys in groups of around six just to get potions to appear and only used potions to clear out enemies rather than get points. I had like four potions just sitting around at one point.

I got the high score by purposely using potions to get points ie I would drop off large groups of little guys when they weren’t safe, pick up a potion and clear them all at once. I kept dying doing this because I wasn’t making progress as fast and the map would get more filled up, plus I’d fatigue more quickly and do something stupid.

this was how I played. Did you never pick up more than one potion at a time to extend your timer? After your first potion, everything but a red potion increases your score multiplier so grabbing 2-3 potions every time I wanted to clear out the slimes usually added up to huge points

yeah that too, I picked up potions exactly one at a time and only used them defensively. I also let them all age into blue or gold potions so I could always clear out mushrooms.

I might try with keyboard to see if that simplifies anything, but honestly I might just lack the focus for consistent play

well so far i’ve beaten the chameleon game and the adventure game that reminded me of the icom simulation games on nes… the chameleon one was really fun

Night Manor is really cute and my first cherry, I played it together with my girlfriend who hasn’t had much experience with point and clickers and it was cosy.

I had Pearl in my party but I spent down all my teeth savings buying coffee in the cloud saloon and beat the final boss fair and square instead…

i killed alligators until i hit the level cap and spent all my teeth making the dog invincible before going through the final dungeon so it didn’t really make a difference hahahah i just wanted to see if it worked, i didn’t know the devil could be bought that cheaply!!

Wikipedia updated their article with a completed list of attributions for each game, and getting confirmation that Eirik Suhrke directed over a quarter of the games, including Campanellas 2 and 3, is definitely making me consider him the MVP of the bunch (Sorry Jon Perry)

Each of them directed at least one of my favorite games but I have to agree

BTW the Ojiro Fumoto one turns out to be Seaside Drive

of the people involved i definitely knew the least about both Jon Perry (who seems like is mostly a board game designer?) and Eirik Suhrke (who obvs i primarily knew as a game music composer). it just confirms my feeling that if you let some people loose and forget about the idea that they have to make a self-contained successful product they’ll just go off

Every time I hear the main menu theme (instead of the alt version when you change the wallpaper to ‘infinity’) I always think it sounds a LOT like the Super Mario Maker title screen theme

Wait this thing has at least two games that bite Metal Storm’s gimmick?? This was made for me, I love all these motherfuckers, this is what video games should be all the time, for me.

Gonna pretend these terminals are also Marathon inspired. All the stars are here, in this game.
