one of the strangest parts of Seasons 3, RIP!
Yo does anyone know about the Maine public access show Dark Currents which steals the Twin Peaks soundtrack?
HMM I WONDER WHAT POSSIBLE “CONTINUING STORY” DAVID “THE LOCKDOWN STOPPED ALL KINDS OF WORK THAT INVOLVES OTHER PEOPLE (4/20/20)” LYNCH COULD OF BEEN WORKING ON, POSSIBLY EVEN SOMETHING WITH MARK “NEVER SAY NEVER JUST WAIT AND SEE (2/11/20)” FROST?
Would be cool if he just did a bunch of Zoom meetings with the actors and stitched it together into the next Twin Peaks thing as a straight-up surreal FMV game like the S3E3 purple world and fireman/theater scenes. They already kind of have the framing for this with Doc Hayward’s Skype call. So many actors passed

untitled lynch project working title: wisteria is mentioned in the new productionweekly, which lines up with rumours of him working with netflix on a series of television. working title matches this reddit post from feb
mark frost is not involved at all
damn
if the 85 million dollar budget is true though, that’s nearly what his accounting-for-inflation budget for dune was. what a world
more detective work
I just bought the entire Twin Peaks collection on blueray, having never watched any episode before
I’m still thinking I might have made a huge mistake despite loving Wild at Heart, Mullholland Drive, the first half of Lost Highway, the Straight Story and, obviously, the PS2 commercial with the ducks
Twin Peaks is Lynch’s jrpg, in that you’re going to have to spend about 60 hours with it

okay let’s calm down now
I’ve never been able to get through the entirety of Twin Peaks (I think I’ve made it like, 80% of the way through?). Not because I didn’t like it, but because it’s really hard to marathon a show that has these jarring shifts in tone several times per episode (I don’t have the patience to only watch one episode of something per day/week). It’s kind of fatiguing to jump from goofy, to creepy, to dramatic freak outs all in a single episode.
Anyway, there’s a fish in the percolator.
hmm, could go either way then. i guess we’ll see when some kind of official announcement appears

Update
4 episodes in, we both love it
My Twin Peaks collection actually doesn’t include the movie. Is it ok to ignore the movie for now and watch the 3 seasons?
i think you really should watch the movie before season 3.
the movie is kind of critical to season 3. also make sure and watch those deleted scenes when you do see it.
I don’t know if you’ve seen blue velvet but I think of it as basically a dale cooper prequel at this point and usually start any twin peaks rewatch with it. (it’s deleted scenes are also important)
the script to blue velvet even ends with an FBI Man telling Jeffrey “you sure killed a real son of a bitch here”, (it’s all really about the mothers isn’t it) and him being all “but how many more like him are out there??”
