The Jerry Horne transformation has made me come to terms. I’m a fool to think that I’ve ‘locked in’ my style in my mid-twenties, aren’t I? Something like that could happen to anyone.

Finished my rewatch of The Return last night. It is so harrowing to see the one person who always knew how to make sense of that world just completely overwhelmed and confused. What year is this? It’s such a fundamental and stupid question, but the fact that it has to be asked is perhaps the greatest way to undermine all the heroic mythology about that character. And that’s just where the story ends, perhaps forever. Wow. Twin Peaks is sincerely the scariest story I’ve ever encountered. And the more I think about it, it doesn’t get any less scary.

“… … … … …we live inside a dream… … … … …”
