4 had the kids though. They carried so much.
yeah, 4 was my favorite because of the kids
I always forget until I have conversations like these that I actually donât like children at all and itâs not just an affectation
season 5 is good though
Deadwood and The Sopranos were better anyhow.
Howâs The Plot Against America adaptation so far?
Previews looked real bad imo

season 3 of the wire is a fucking cartoon. like, i used to have the shot where herc and carver are going HUH? HUHH? HUHHUHUHUH? at eachother about hamsterdam as a livejournal icon, but now im old and moody and i dont want to watch cartoons about the adventures of bunny the major, i want to watch weird mappings of relationships and communities
like its not bad but its so different, and its definitely worse than season 1 and 2. i feel like season 3 is definitely a monkeyâs paw situation for everyone that complained about there not being enough season 1 characters featured in season 2
i just want to get to season 4
the scene where theyâre literally bussing in van loads of addicts to hamsterdam is just totally cartoonish and itâs like oh yeah this is a completely different show now. i really like season 4 though, the kids are great and prez is good!!!
I donât get the issue with season 3. the first time around it was in the middle of s3 is when The Wire went from âitâs an interesting TV showâ to âholy sh*t THE WIREâ for me. Bunny is one of the best characters? I donât understand this thoughtplace
i thought i explained myself! bunny is my favorite char of season 3 too. its just cartoony
yeah you did! I guess the cartoonishness never bothered me / I never noticed. Hamsterdam would, of course, never happen in real life but thatâs ok with me. itâs making a point.
bunny is a great character but i still think the storyline is kind of a lot lol
yeah this is one of the things i really like about the wire, like way institutions are portrayed is realistic but the characters arenât necessarily because the show is trying to Tell You Things too. the third season is weird to me because the first two seasons are sort of subtle about this and then we get to hamsterdam, which is an institutional thing that would never ever happen and the show gets really heavy-handed all of a sudden
watching this show on amazon is fucking weird because the subtitles range from âfineâ to âextremely racistâ episode to episode. the guy trying to help danielsâ wife get elected to city council just said âhis honorâ totally normally and the subtitler interpreted this as âhizzonerâ because uh heâs black I guess. they also donât know the difference between n-word soft a and hard r most of the time and it sure is A Lot!!
this is multiverse brain material
its literally the âwelcome to earfâ thing but even more blatantly racist
I am unaware of that opus.
jeremy saulnier is way too good for true detective season 3. what a disappointment
