Oh I’m well familiar with those, yes
this looks like just my kind of bs even though the trailer says nothing
i recently got HBO Now for myself (i used to have a friend’s account, but the PS4 sadly forgot the pw) and have been watching/finishing a lot of things.
Silicon Valley - wow, those last two seasons are pretty not good! BONUS: oops forgot that one dude is probably a sex creep
Curb - wow, that last season is pretty not good!
Watchmen- lol ok, sure!
i did enjoy Netflix’s Witcher, though. it’s got some real Xena/Hercules energy.
yeah curb s9 was a mistake after 7 and 8 were such a big return to form from 4-6 being so mixed
they’re back to “yeah what the hell I guess we’ll make more of this” years
And then in the finale of course Moffat has to inflict traumatic body horror on a female character, essentially mirroring what he did to Bill at the end of his doctor who run .
And that ending was absolute nonsense, I laughed so hard. Should have known better than to waste my time on this but a coworker whose opinion I generally respect recommended it highly.
the good place really is ten seasons worth of premises in a four season package
The Good Pace
this looks…fine. but it is interesting that lisa bonet’s daughter is in the john cusack role
yeah the casting is the only thing that makes this not an unbelievably bad idea
I like that they kept her called rob
Clicked through, didn’t see Jack Black
What’s the fucking point even
I would defend it as a new adaptation of the novel not the movie but a) I am absolutely not going to do that as I am not 18 anymore and Nick Hornby doesn’t need me to do that to myself and b) the production design looks really similar to the Frears version
also no love for Todd Louiso, what the hell
OK I thought about it and this show will actually be good if they get oh sweet nuthin on the soundtrack again
Home sick so I decided to watch all the groundhog day time loop episodes of random shows, starting with the x-files episode, “Monday” and going into TNG’s “Cause and Effect”. The LoT episode is a hoot, so that’s probably next.
I’d watch Fringe’s “White Tulip” but that’s not streaming anywhere afaik.
Any recommendations? Barring Russian Doll because I bounced off that hard.
you should just watch the whole tv show daybreak starring taye diggs
the time loop episode of star trek discovery is kind of fun but i’m not sure how good it is out of the context of the show
Stargate SG1 has a nice time loop episode. Window of Opportunity, Season 4, Episode 6.
Could just watch Edge of Tomorrow
I watched the second season of Joe Pera Talks with You, and the show continues to be excellent. I find almost all comedies grating, but this one is a big exception.
This show is beautiful and it overwhelms me with emotion sometimes and one of my friends absolutely hates it.
I think what does it for me is that it comes off very sincerely curious – like the world is full of interesting things if you just slow down a bit and don’t let your pride get in the way?
But it also balances this sincerity by taking that philosophy to absurd lengths, and I can’t help but be delighted by what this man says and the way he says it.
