I feel like House MD is one of my favorite shows and I really canāt justify it beyond really loving what Hugh Laurie did with the character. It gets increasingly tooā¦ detached from reality towards the later seasons (I will admit to loving the final stretch of eps in season 5 as being just the right type of this) but hey I have questionable tastes fight me or not.

okay im actually watching millennium now instead of catching it over veronicas shoulder and the last episode was about a bomber (its the 90s!) who jerked off while the force impact of the explosion was hitting him and then lance hendricksen has at least three highly erotic phone conversations about explosions with the guy, one while his wife is listening in
frank black eventually thinks he tracks down the bomber because he finds a parking garage across a target building with cigarette butts everywhere, but then IT EXPLODES. he warns the building to evacuate in time and goes inside toā¦ save people NO TO GET EXPLODED!!! THEN HE GETS RESCUED BY THE BOMBER IN THE BUILDING who during their previous phone sex session told frank heād be a star when he found the bomber. OOOO MIND GAMES. the bomber eventually tricks everyone into a suicide by cop and nothing is resolved
I kinda love when mysteries get to remain mysteries in media and thereās either no resolution or the choice is yours to think of your own cuz it happens off screen.
this show is produced by the xfiles guy but all his episodes Iāve seen are about women in peril and remind me why I quit watching the xfiles. frank blacks wife supports him and believes him the whole way through thereās not uh, 6 seasons or whatever of bickering over shit existing or not. but the episodes written by the pair that did THE ONE (yes and xfiles) are solid gold. okay like, I WANT to like the xfiles, and I enjoy isolated episodes, but I never want a romantic relationship between mulder and scully to come into question. sheās married to the job.
anyway if you like xfiles and especially if you DONāT like xfiles you should watch millennium

Millennium season 2 is a whole season of tv thats like āwhat if the xfiles was 100x more creative, catholic and didnt suckā
my big issue with season 3 right now is that they fucking CANCELED the show so season 2ās finale is uh, well, pretty definitive. we didnt watcch the show for like a month because well it felt like it was over. the time was near, after all! To the point where the previous showrunners like concluded the arcs of all their female characters so chris carter couldnāt get his paws on them. So chris carter (UGHH) comes back and they just straight up have to replace the past esoteric mystery with a new one thatās totally out of nowhere and zee from collateral is franks new FBI partner and he has a fucking FBI boss who yells at him constantly for being āunconventionalā like hes mulder. one of the things i like about the show is that frank is averse to firearms and killing people so he usually refuses to go anywhere armed but in season 3 hes just got a gun and flashlightā¦like hes mulder. Itās not nearly as goode but I legitimately had no idea what was going on in the season 3 premiere so well, itās still millennium

morgan and wong are the SHOWRUNNERS of season 2. totally in charge and doing wild shit to the point where chris carter got pissed off that they āāfuckedāā up his show, aka took it in a unique direction. the show was doomed anyway, it was gonna get canceled with or without their big brains
