Thinking about… him.

Interesting! I’m pretty disconnected from Netrunner these days, but are people playing this card? (I’m trying to compare it to something like Biotic Labour, price wise). I think the “another server” makes it tricky, is it played only in asset spam decks? (I can’t imagine a world where you’re making two remotes to protect and bounce this across?!) I should… play some netrunner.

People have already found a very funny Standard-legal combo kill with this card:
• Put 3 counters on a facedown Reconstruction Contract. You can do this because The Holo Man does not require the target card “can be advanced”, unlike most other cards.
• The runner runs the server.
• When the runner breaches the server (after their last jack-out window), crack Reconstruction Contract to activate its ability.
• Your identity, Ob Superheavy Logistics, triggers, letting you retrieve an Urtica Cipher and install it in the same server.
• You then resolve the Reconstruction Contract ability, targeting Urtica Cipher.
• The runner accesses Urtica Cipher and takes 5 damage. Importantly, if they played an event or install earlier in their turn and did NOT draw up to a full 5 cards before the run, this is a kill.

And here’s the kicker: if the runner does NOT run the server, simply advance it 3 more times on your turn, protect it for 1 more turn, then, at end of their turn, do the same process to put the counters on Clearinghouse and activate it for the kill.

As a former “Jemisin + Project Junebug” enjoyer, this sounds great. Also that new ID sounds absurd…
