I liked the fictional trading cards in Little Witch Academia (which of course have been turned into real ones)
@daphaknee introduced me to Killer Cards, and I just acquired (and scanned) the set. At first glance, they appear to catalog ways one can die. But that’s not entirely what they are going for. Each card back has written observations of “The Wanderer,” along with statistics and tips. Here are a few examples:
I’m thinking of putting all of these into a CBZ.
the lye one was really formative cuz I knew that clock as ‘the lye cat clock’ whenever I’d see it til I played the first animal crossing and they called it the ‘kitchy’ clock
these are incredibly cool when paired with the backs, holy moly
Here’s the complete Killer Cards set, in case anyone is interested. It’s a 40 MB CBZ file (which of course you can rename ZIP if you just want the image files):
(There’s a second series as well, but it’s quite different.)
The art and style of this remind me of something I stumbled upon a few years back “Monster Cards”

Bought a neat box of cards based on old radio serials from them years back. Most recently he ran a kickstarter for a “The terrors of the Ukraine war!” card set, so you can’t say they aren’t keeping up with the times.
Power card!
I love discard stuff
They just released the Chrome version of the fifth Garbage Pail Kids series.
These things are pricey, but what I’ve found is that you can get complete sets cheap on eBay for each new series because people buy a lot of boxes to find the special rare inserts (which I don’t care about). So I have the first four series in a binder and will soon add the fifth.
(The first couple series are already not cheap at this point, it seems, which makes me glad I stumbled upon them when they were new.)
Was looking at translated proxies of new Gate Ruler cards and I want to believe this is 100% accurate.
I believe it
I collect all the pokemon cards this illustrator made and just found out this exists… it’s… so expensive
uri gellar is finally dropping his stupid lawsuit, meaning kadabra will appear on trading cards again after 22 years
that happened in November of 2020 tho
(edit: I guess the news is that Kadabra will be printed on a card in June)
As someone that hasn’t “played” in 18 years that seems ridiculously powerful.
