Titanfall 2 (Formerly The Last Guardian)

There are people real into the flame throwers and napalm from black ops who pop up for each new game to see if the flame throwers and napalm are back. I can see these people being into BF1 for the various evil shit they can do.

hey now

the only thing that constitutes a war crime in BF1 is the use of mustard gas, and taken in the context of the game, it was perfectly a-ok

more to the point, how many shootmans have a dedicated facemask button

well this is uh

It’s a good thing there’s no history of armies horrifically crushing people with giant robots falling from the sky or I might feel ambivalent about doing that in a video game, too.

oh my god all the levels are conceptually totally different and they’re all fantastic

I don’t think I’ve ever seen better environment design at this scale, certainly nothing that makes such good use of modern technology

found felix’s game of the year

not sure about that, but it’s definitely my favourite first person shooter in ~a decade

Honestly, a decent amount?

god I love it when games actually make good use of their massive budgets

fair enough

in a small chart of 2016’s Actually Good Shootmans That People Will Play, how many have a gasmask button because assholes are tossing around mustard gas

rats the size of cats? co-habitating with rotting corpses that are fed on by said rats?

how about trench foot? or drowning gut-shot in mud the consistency of wet cement?

wwi is just full of wondrous things

the best part about BF1 is that DICE made a lot of noise about having a Harlem Hellfighter on the cover, and then you play as one for like, 5 minutes of the entire campaign

even in Titanfall 2 thread, BF1 is overshadowing it

the Wikipedia entry on the hellfighters is tonally inconsistent at best btw

can you board zeppelins in battlefield 1 like the rocketeer

God damn it stop making me want this game.

besides a single set piece in one of the campaign stories, no, not at all

On PS4, muting is pretty easy. Open up the score thing, press right on the D-Pad, scoll to the name you want to mute, press Square.

I’ve barely touched the campaign yet, but MP is some hot shit right now. Attrition is kinda my jam, as is Bounty Hunt.

As much as I enjoyed Bounty Hunt in the beta, the idea that it was to be Attrition’s replacement was insane and I’m glad they walked that back.

You know, for when I eventually buy the game. At some point.

I forgot the trackpad was a button again, RIP, thanks
