Can’t wait for the Switch 2’s 4K port of Ketsui: Death Label

I finally beat the second DLC level in R-Type Final 2 (the one from Leo). That boss was giving me a hard time, but I eventually came up with a method using the tentacle force.

The ship I’ve been using the most lately is the Eclipse, though I also like the Princedom.

Now that I’ve completed every stage, all I have left is unlocking ships until the second DLC pack drops. The trophies for it have appeared already so I assume it won’t be long.

I’m not sure I ever unlocked the R-9Leo2 in Final 1, but it’s a great ship in Final 2. I like the way your power shot also throws your bits at the enemy.

There are some stages I’ve completed many times now and a couple that I’ve completed only once. The stage I find most difficult of all is the one with all the triangles.

A feature that I guess was there all along but that I didn’t notice until last night is the ability to create a custom course of stages. You just have to end with one of the three 7s.

Wait how do you do that? That sounds fun.

Also I found my memory card with 101/99 ships from Final 1 last night and that felt good.

It’s hidden in plain sight. The top option on the score attack menu. Select that and you get several options.

I hope in the end Final 2 has 102/99 ships.

In R-Type Final 2 news, they just released the second DLC pack. It’s Delta stage 1 and original R-Type stage 3. They both look great. The music in the Delta stage is lackluster compared to the original (I confirmed this by listening to the original version after playing), but I like what they did with the music in the other stage.

One interesting thing about the stage from the original R-Type is that it cycles between three different environments (lava, yellow stuff, and pink stuff).

I’ve been listening to the music from R-Type Final stage F-A a lot lately. I think when I played that game the stage itself was so odd that I didn’t really notice the music. But it’s good.

Does this English trailer mean it’s getting a Western release too? Anyone checked the NA/EU eShop yet?

Fingers crossed these are good ports.

You can tate it according to the screenshots on the eShop page.

it seems like every week there’s a new thing that makes me want a switch and a flipgrip

Good news with these new ports. The Switch does have a wee bit more input lag than usual (seems to be about 2 frames more than ps4 on average).

Mushihimesama hd absolutely slays. Definitely my recc if you’re looking on steam as well.

Gah. For 20 bucks yeah I’ll dip on the system I hate.

ibara ;_;

Since these are based off the 360 ports maybe maybe we’ll get Pink Sweets in 2024?

Downloaded the Mushihimesama switch port today. Played a credit and managed to get to stage 3.

Even though I really don’t like the switch, this has exceeded my expectations. Really loving the customization options they included here. No idea if any of this is in the steam release but I would imagine so.

No issues with input lag or sound desyncing which are my biggest pet peeves.

4 stars.
