If you havenāt checked wevp.tv recentlyā¦
oh yeah no worries it came up
good stuff though!!!
I canāt wait
I gasped when the camera rotated with my mouse.
I hope they hit it out of the park.
Seems like one line crossed another line on some chart in a boardroom and lootboxes are now critically uncool.
Probably some real fun company meetings leading up to this decision. Thatās just speculation on my part though.
Woah, I love this. When Geoff called in and rambled on about raccoons I had a very bizarre feeling of recognition. I definitely knew this guyās voice! It took me a few minutes, but eventually I realized that heās played by the host of the Sleep With Me Podcast, which is something that should exist only within the world of Kentucky Route Zero but somehow escaped into our dimension and has been inexplicably successful.
Every episode, this weird old librarian just rambles on and on about nonsense in order to lull the listener to sleep. Heās actually very good at what he does! He straddles this extremely specific line between boring and interesting. His ramblings are low-key funny and entertaining, but the droning quality of his voice, his constant digressions and repetitions, his calm demeanor, all of this makes it pure slumber fuel. Iāve used the show to fall asleep on insomniac nights. Eventually I did fall asleep listening to him. The most helpful thing about it was that it took my mind off of the insomnia and helped me relax. It disrupted the feedback loop between insomnia and anxiety about insomnia. I endorse this podcast that actually exists somehow!
The stuff the Kentucky Route Zero team has been putting out between episodes has been consistently incredible. I loved the phone line thing a few years ago. Iāve played the first few parts of the game and while I liked them well enough, I have a hard time motivating myself to play more. These kinds of slow, contemplative adventure games donāt hook me in that well as a genre. But I consider that more a flaw in myself than the game. Jeez, the work these guys do is consistently next-level.
Well letās just ask @BustedAstromech who I will shamelessly pump for information well past his threshold for shame or propriety
Iām the same way but this one got its hooks into me hard by the end of Act 2 and itās just completely revelatory from there
I spent way too much of that game playing it.
Took me way longer than Iām proud to admit to catch on to what was going on.
i think itās more like Gex in blood-soaked world.
also, Gex 2 has such a cool final boss battle (not mechanically per se, but atmospherically):
Iām very curious about how the complete KRZās pacing will feel to people playing it in roughly one go. Part of my joy with the game is having these interludes and episodes appear sporadically and let the empty spaces sit with me for years.
I learned about Act IIIās release from the steam auto-update. That was perfect.
Gex was pretty good in certain aspects. Such as climbing around for nooks and crannies. And even if implementaion wasnāt always hot, it kind of had the ratchet and clank thing going. With gadgets and gameplay mashups. I would enjoy a new one.
Man, itās weird watching videos of Gex now because theyāre all the US versions with Dana Gould. In PAL land, the original Gex was the only one that had Dana voicing Gex. Leslie Phillips voiced him in Enter the Gecko, and Danny John-Jules (Red Dwarf) of all people voiced him in Deep Cover Gecko.
Localization is weird.
Cue uproar about this being two separate products
The comments I saw were more like ācool, all the bad games are on a separate disc.ā
finally I can have wheel gator and spark mandrill at the same time
oh my
