The sound puzzle twist is when it plays two tone sequences concurrently, but only one of them is correct, and it’s the opposite of the one in the pitch you’re conditioned to expect and that’s one of the only one or two puzzles in the whole game I caved in on a walkthrough for and I’m really glad I did.
I have no memory of any sound puzzles in the witness (by the way, I’m not sure why we’re posting in the news thread and not the best-titled thread of all time) which leads me to believe I encountered them, didn’t get them, wandered off, and never thought about them again
disappointed to discover that sex creep and labour exploiter matt conn was hired by the toejam and earl team

holy shit what the fuck? i was already wary on the game after the whole “let’s defend the ceo of activision on our brand twitter account” but this is significantly worse.
toejam is a wiener
earl is a dufus
it owns how there are trans people who are more or less blacklisted for life from working in games over incredibly petty social media bullshit, but a cis dude can be like “yeah, so uh, i tried to rape a couple people in a hotel room once” and people will knock down your door with job offers.

Each one is a little nugget of an interesting game idea just waiting for someone to steal and develop into a larger concept. Also, the source code is right there for you to look at; just amazed at the generosity.
