Too many to list because I famously do not play video games but I think among the big ones I would definitely enjoy and find personally meaningful, ff8 and 9 gotta be pretty high up there. The ps1 in general is a big blind spot for me

legend of Zelda majoras mask
legend of Zelda twilight princess
legend of Zelda breath of the wild

Crypt Worlds
Barkley Shut Up And Jam Gaiden
Everblue 2
Shadow Hearts Covenant
Garage
Alice: An Interactive Museum
10 Beautiful Postcards
Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong Nou
Flower, Sun, and Rain
The reason I haven’t played these is that I usually forget or I pick something less interesting but more convenient. I’ve also gotten better at prioritizing things that matter in my life and video games are low on that list.
A separate list I ponder frequently is sb/ic fan faves that I played specifically due to their positive reputation in these parts, but bounced off of almost immediately for idiosyncratic personal reasons. That list so far includes
BoF Dragon Quarter
Dragons Dogma
I still think the hive mind is right about these games, and my own inability to enjoy them registers to me as a personal failing or weakness.
Guess I just have to be cautious whenever a game with Dragon in the title earns high praise here (dq excepted, naturally)
Now that I think of it, maybe this is why I’ve always avoided the Yakuza games
i have had them both installed on my duck for months. “never” isnt strictly true, ive played maybe 15 minutes of each. ive seen bits of playthroughs of them and ive listened to podcasts about them. i know for a fact that i will absolutely fuckinglove both of them like GOAT favorite game contenders. i just, idk. im putting them off like a really fine brandy or a box of fancy chocolates, i wanna be in the exact right headspace to savor em
that being said i have been feeling adventure gamey recently…
Thief 1 and 2 (PC) - missed it at the time, going back to 90s PC Games is scary
Superhot VR - No equipment
Brave Firefighters (Arcade) - I’ll never see a cabinet again
Manic Game Girl (PS1) - I don’t speak Korean!
House Party (PC) - I’ve watch Bachelor play most of it, and it is brillant
Zork series - I’ve barely ever played a text adventure
Yume Nikki (PC) - I was too old
Pokemon Gold/Silver (GB) - I was too old
Tower of Druaga (Arcade) - terrifying
Dwarf Fortress (PC) - All the stories are amazing, I’d hate it playing it.
