I bet that movie would be something else if it came out in 1992. Now it is a wrong film at the wrong time. Fassbender might be ok, but this won’t save him from the Jobs debacle.

Well despite the all star cast and Sorkin penned Story. The Steve Jobs movie was not successful. That is the debacle. The Jobs movie was even in the Sony hack emails because they felt that it wasn’t what audiences wanted to see.
But hey don’t take my word for it:

did anyone see the Macbeth directed by the guy who’s doing AC and which also starred Fassbender? looks kinda good.

these games are the worst most boring wastes of resources and time and videogame cities but I saw a picture of marion cotilliard in this movie so now assassin’s creed is my favorite thing of all time

It is faithful to the point of being unnatural as a movie - when one character is the first to discover his king’s dead body in a tent, he doesn’t shout something like “GUYS GUYS!! THE KING IS DEAD! HOLY SHIT!”, instead he goes on a long tirade about despair or something while the other characters look at him in bewilderment, wondering what exactly is going on.
Has there even been one great videogame adaptation?
From my understanding, Silent Hill is allright (I haven’t seen it) and everything else is camp, Generic PG13 Action Movie, or garbage

The NFS movie’s plot was ‘dude has to drive across the whole United States super fast in a cool car with a hot lady with an accent.’. That’s absurd levels of wish fulfillment, how do you mess that up holy shit
they coulda made a good warcraft movie, but they would have had to lock chris metzen in a cage for three years and hire actors that didn’t look like they came out of a community college and/or make it full CG
