on a switch you can remap controllers from somewhere in the main menu UI these days… it’s pretty sick

Apparently a “flash cart” type device is coming pretty soon for the #NintendoSwitch which supports all firmwares, all consoles types, from all regions. Although it was long overdue, we were a bit skeptical, so we ask for some kind of proof. To our surprise, this person sent us soon after a video demonstrating the product in use. And it seems perfectly legit.

Just wanted to mention that Front Mission remake numero two seems to be improving on the original by having actual animations outside of battle scenes, which is important because: the original basically had none and looked dire with battle scenes turned off. And you had to turn them off if you didn’t want to sit through excruciatingly long load times.
So this is probably gonna be “the best way” to play the game. Gonna get a physical version too I think.

This is the first complete translation of front mission 2 right?
It’s a really shoddy remake. The awful controls / UI really gets to you after a while. It’s magnitudes worse than the FM1 remake which was already panned for the same reasons (I found that one perfectly playable)
I’d recommend playing the original with a translation patch + fast forward

oh cool, for some reason i thought fm2 didn’t have a decent translation patch
didn’t it come out the whole thing was machine translated too? it has always been covered with red flags and I would also recommend the ps1 version (though I was not aware there was a fan translation)
Uh interesting, I hope it wouldn’t be terrible. I thought the PS1 translation was incomplete, but I didn’t really give it a chance because it’s fucking unplayable outside of emulation and I don’t do emulation. Maybe I should do emulation.

It’s still interesting to me that there’s two types of Switch games. Games that look good in 720p and games that look terrible. The Switch is a handheld pretending to be a console sometimes, and it shows.
Persona Tactica looks like it’s made for Switch. Beautiful.
Redemption Reapers looks like ass, aliased fonts and UI elements that are too small, this looks like it wasn’t made for Switch. This looks like a cheap PC port. Would recommend the PS4 version instead.
