I guess Smash Bros 3DS Smash Run is sort of City Trial 2 but I want that idea to be iterated on one day or at least not stuck on 3DS

it still has the exact same incredibly stupid problem though, which is that you spend 5+ minutes working on a build, then you play exactly one random minigame that you may or may not have built for, and that may only last 15 seconds. it’s so god damned stupid
and the solution is so simple, just play 3-5 random minigames with the same build. that’s it.

I think the appeal of it for me was shoehorning myself into whatever minigame it threw at me but still managing to squeeze out a win. It sort of felt like what I remember of, uh, Half-Minute Hero or One Way Heroics, the satisfaction of grinding and your character’s growth condensed into a lunch break.

this is almost a summary of playing Armored Core 4/4A the first time, except it’s not a minigame.

They are slowly patching the OoT performance, so homefully they would get that done first. (lol)
It’s hilarious how much I’ve seen complaints about OoT, but nobody ever comments on S&P’s performance, so i don’t know if the game I care about even works.

i’ve seen people say S&P is unplayable. not sure if this is down to glitches in emulation, input lag or the control scheme. probably all three.
