Chocobo GP being functionally a mobile game that you have to pay $50 for to even be given the opportunity to spend more money on feels not only vile but also like a terrible business decision. I cannot imagine this game taking off in any way.
I had a stream of it in the background this morning while I was working and they were going through the story mode or whatever so I didnāt notice that⦠though I did feel like the UI felt reminiscent of Dissidia Opera Omnia and now I get why. Thatās unfortunate really
I downloaded the demo and I was immediately awarded 500x mythril for the Chocobo GP Anniversary event, 80x mythril for my daily login and a third thing for some reason I forgot already. Apparently it wants you to do 70. After they revealed itād have a battlepass for unlocking characters I already had 0 expectations but this feels like the most dire version it couldāve been.
might I recommend you funnel that fifty fiats into some horse racing

NERD using a flashcart to load savestates on real hardware for testing: about what i was expecting
NERD using 160p test suite:
Would be cool if they threw in WarioWare Twisted, Yoshi Topsy Turvy support via joycon gyros maybe. Apparently the tablet/main unit itself has sensors too. Would buy into this if they let you buy a game or two a la carte (to play locally) like Virtual Console but am not into being tethered to an internet connection just to play these. (looks like it just checks your subscription every week, but still,)
I wanted to report some cool (perhaps less known?) things for the owners of a hacked Switch:
- through the Cotton2 emulator hack, you can play, among the others, Saturn version of Policenauts;
- you can play Space Funeral through the ported version of easyRPG!
- ZeroRanger has just been ported as homebrew!
- among the less known homebrews, there is also BrogueCE.
Another heads-up Now the Stanley Parable is available on the Switch
Have I mentioned that Iāve been trying to mostly play games that I can use the d-Pad for because Iām afraid of joycon drift lol
they have a recall in place for that and you have to be like a 1-day turnaround from a repair center on long island, youāre good
Iāve got a Switch Lite though and I am under the impression itās a bit more of a rigmarole
ohh
Kotor 2 with restored content is on the Switch
