I remember when they kickstarted Oceanhorn as a Souls like and I was a bit surprised to see it come out as a short-form 3d zelda thing. I think I even played the very first playable demo. I don’t remember it being good but it was very early days.
I played like 2 hours of oceanhorn on PC and thought it was surgically boring, a perfect example of the “i want more of this game (wind waker) so i will apply my limited budget and skill to making an unbranded sequel” syndrome that still haunts these small- to mid-sized game studios and results in the mushiest possible experience that is neither as good as the original nor nostalgic enough for me to overlook its flaws
I may have been expecting too much from it.
extremely proud of this turn of phrase
yeah i played a bit of Oceanhorn 2 on Apple Arcade when it came out and mostly it struck me as everything i dislike about 3D Zeldas turned up to 11
That’s exactly what I needed to hear thank you.
what wildly unrealistic expectations are people gonna bring into this one???

Super Wario Odyssey developed by Jonathan Blow
Good to hear, with this and the Moon remake there is a lot of ex-Love-de-lic love going around.
Is this the first vidcon from Oink Games?
Apparently they have a handful of phone games (seem to be Apple device/iOS only/on that Apple Arcade platform) mixed in among card/tabletop games
oh no the graphics are very neat but odds of that little boy dying at the end seem like 100%
Manifold Garden & A short hike have also been released on the switch today
I will take this opportunity to tell people again that I really enjoyed Manifold Garden!
