silsong confirmed still coming to switch1, no need for upgrades
I emailed NOA how quickly they expected the yuzu people to crack this would be but they didn’t reply.
pleased to announce that I was vaguely planning to preorder one of these things and despite being at my computer I just straight up forgot to do it
I just preordered it. I think the sites were screwed up, people got discouraged, and there was an opening.
Almost missed out because I can never remember if 12am is like tonight or tomorrow or what.
I couldn’t preorder it because
- I live in Japan
- I don’t want the nerfed Japanese only one
- Nintendo is the only one selling the international model at the moment
- You need to have a Japanese Nintendo account to preorder
- My main Nintendo account is American
Nice! I’ve tried the four big sites on the mark and failed on all of them cry
Refreshing a Reddit thread and I guess people are still having luck queueing up for Best Buy or Walmart with some saying the app(s) work better than the sites.
I was at checkout on Target when it went out of stock
I mean, after Target recovered from being down for 20 minutes
currently staring at the Best Buy line and thinking about how I should go to sleep
Take the money you would have given to Nintendo, donate it to an immigrant rights org and go to bed
Mario and Luigi are immigrants.
Best Buy unceremoniously kicked me out of line, sent me to an empty cart and then I went back in line and got prompted a few minutes later
i will buy a switch if they make a sequel to Dillons Dead Heat Breakers OR Fzero. those are my terms. maybe I’ll get a switch 1 so I can finally play those xenoblade games
get comfy friend
Forgot this was happening, which I guess says a lot about where I’m at on this thing. I think this makes 3-for-3 for “new systems I was kinda excited for at first and then all the interest drained outta me.”
I’m sure this thing will still exist in 5 years, if everything else still does, too, and there’ll be hot new Zeldas and Marios and whatnot waiting for me. But I’ve got cold old Zeldas and Marios I still gotta play, and those won’t set me back hundreds of dollars, so!
my usual rule for new hardware is waiting for 2 exclusives I want to play and am confident won’t get ported and that’s never really let me down, so I’m pretty happy waiting for #2 on this one
might be hard to get a system a month after launch when Bananza comes out
The second killer app is obviously the 20 year-old games I’m going to pay an extra subscription fee to emulate I don’t know what the issue is here.
I love the revelation in the last 48 hours that just about every third party physical game is actually a key card and not an actual game-on-card card
I haven’t seen the final count for the Americas but every third party game in Japan is a key card except for Cyberpunk
The original Switch was my first console I was in on the ground floor with since the SNES, and I’m glad I’ve got a backlog of a million games for it to last me a long time.
Yeah, the more I hear about it the more it feels a ‘year 2’ at best
