brought back the thread because i had a vivid childhood memory of my brother in a CRAZY CRAB shirt after my friend wanted to make his char’s zgok into a sports crab
crazy crab was a sf giant mascot in like, 1984. people were encouraged to jeer and boo crazy crab because he was an ANTI MASCOT. they were like, making fun of everyones stupid mascots everywhere? but like people got so into hating on him that they had to reinforce the shell with fiberglass haha, which reminded me of the time someone threw a unopened can of pabst at my head when i was in a full chicago hot dog costume for work, and it just bounced harmlessly off. that suit owned. vienna beef only had a couple of them to rent out and all the ingredients were velcroed on so i could rip off my sport pepper and yell TOO SPICY!!! and wave it around like a sword. i was warned specifically to never pretend any ingredient was my dick and i always wonder if that warning was for me or vienna beef had some kind of clause where you must alert them of the no ‘wiggle your pickle’ rule
i never saw crazy crab in person but id see lots of people in crazy crab shirts at giants games, and like weird stuffed animals? a resturant? i have no idea. i just have like, crazy crab images sprinkled into different parts of my early childhood

theres also a weird a&w mascot made of like, colorful spaghetti and microwaveable food and soft drinks that just, shouts his own name? i saw a commercial of it while i was watching price is right on pluto and recounting this makes me feel insane

There’s been one around here for years now but I had no idea they had a mascot, the closest thing being a large statue of Bayformers Optimus Prime outside it for some reason.
