ok this thread might have changed my life because before I would have saw this thing and gone “oh lol neat jacket” but now I’m like “I know exactly what this is and how much work went into it and how valuable it is” and insead of being a garment “owner” i feel more like a caretaker
i feel like a different person wearing this sukajan, I feel like I have to live up to the previous owner’s life in order to be worthy of wearing it. I feel like any money spent repairing ripped seams or defects is worth it. I want to go out in public so that other people just see it. and appreciate it. I walk home drunk and see the two dragons on my titties and think “this is mine now” and I, like, hug the jacket. I have never spent this much on a piece of clothing before and I feel like I different person wearing it. maybe I am overthinking it. I wore it tonight thinking “do you know what this is? do you know how special this jacket is?!” around everyone. some people did. one person who specializes in vintage clothing told me I did not get ripped off, but even if I did I wouldn’t care. Hell the entire time I was buying this jacket I’m like “@rudie is either going to be very stoked or tell me I got ripped off” and I didn’t care if I got ripped off, I wanted to take care of this thing. if that makes sense.
