Was Pyramid Head also called The Excecutioner? I googled it and I got a fight scene between a The Exectuioner and Pyramid Head from one of the movies. Is The Executioner cosplaying as Pyramid Head?
I always thought Pyramid Head was supposed to be more of a butcher.
didn’t they rename him triangle head in the movie because they weren’t sure movie-watchers would understand what a pyramid was

There’s a painting in the museum in SH2 that depicts several Pyramid Head-like figures, and the caption suggests they were executioners at the prison. The Pyramid Heads (multiple!) that James encounters are never explicitly named, except possibly in the closed captioning, I think?

the closest it gets to having an actual name is when james runs into eddie and asks him if he’s friends with that “red pyramid thing.”

I remember James using the phrase “that red pyramid thing.” Edit: What lonelyfrontier said.
There’s a similar character in Silent Hill: Origins called “the Butcher” that you encounter in a butcher shop. Which, while unoriginal, is at least not as bad as including “Pyramid Head” in a movie that isn’t based on the Silent Hill 2 story.

So, what’s the deal with Pyramid Head’s head? That’s not the way it’s shaped. Maybe you might say its not the pyramid head we all know and love, to which I say: Ok, but what’s the point of going all out to recreate the game’s most famous antagonist but then take his head (for which he is named after) and change it entirely? Don’t get me wrong - he looks super in the trailers, but would it have killed you guys to chamfer that leading edge he has?

It is always interesting to take a CG character and try and make him real. Some time the logic of the design just can’t work. The Japanese name for this character was actually ‘Triangle Head.’ It is not Pyramid Head or Red Pyramid as many fans call it. In fact, on his head is a basin and not a triangle at all. This shape works great as animation but it was impossible to make an authentic replica of the shape and actually have a real person move under it. We know as we tried. The big change in Red Pyramid for me was not his head as much as his body. In the game he has a very deformed body almost a hunchback. Instead we decided to make him a tall, powerful character a little like the Warrior God in " Stargate" that Patrick Tatopoulos created. Why? Because for me there is a little of Anibus, the Egyptian God of Death in the Red Pyramid.
Of course we consulted Konami and Akira Yamaoka with before signing of the new design which they were very enthusiastic about.

So basically all these years all these top 10 video game monster lists should have been extolling the legend of the Red Pyramid Things? I want that reality back.
Disappointed that the extremely good interior graphics of Unpacking used to simulate annoying chore instead of adventure mystery.
Attempting to google that flat shaded pouring tea for talking cat game Pekoe returns basically only screenshots of an Animal Crossing villager.
Ollie-Oop v. Skatebird, who could have forseen we would all be required to select one of these two sides with which to define ourselves and to mercilessly deride one another.

I don’t know why but my mind didn’t connect the “wholesome” part to mean that all the games do not involve pressing buttons constantly
I only understand pressing buttons and murder
with that said, KeyWe is the future game of the year whenever it comes out
