Affordable Space Adventures was one of few indie games developed entirely around the gamepad as control.
Zombi U I remember at least seemed to be doing interesting things with it from the marketing material they put out around it. Not enough that they couldn’t eventually port it to other consoles later though.
I think someone here claimed that the Deus Ex 3 port was actually their favourite version of the game because of how much better the inventory management was with the gamepad.
So this Club Penguin fan server shutdown article got me all pumped, and I started making plans to get into there on the planned shutdown date of May 31st so I could record the last moments of the server and interview the people in there for a short doc, but then it turned out that they abandoned their gradual shutdown plans and just turned it all off like a day after the cease and desist. So much for that project!

doubt we’ll hear about smt5 anytime soon – how can atlus spare anybody when they’ve got to get like four fucking dancing games based on the modern era Persona properties out there to the public?
not that that’s a bad thing, considering how much i disliked the direction of IV (man, i don’t care about these stupid samurai knights and shit, and the art direction was all over the fucking place) and Strange Journey had a cool concept, but i thought it was just really boring and it felt weird to be playing Etrian Odyssey with an SMT shell.
i doubt it’ll be shown at this particular event, though i guess it’s not out of the question, but atlus did confirm at the beginning of the year that they would be releasing information on smtv in 2020, so it’s coming sooner or later. pessimistically i’d imagine their presence here is to announce the persona 5 strikers western localization. i’m also not crazy about smt iv, but when v was announced and over the following year kazuyuki yamai made it pretty clear that they intended the tone and visuals to hew closer to nocturne, while incorporating systems developments from the handheld games. i’m still ambivalent - despite my series fangirling nocturne was the culmination of a very specific vision that i don’t think can be indefinitely replicated, especially without kaneko at the helm, and the most recent atlus title i like at all is p3p - but i am interested to see how it turns out.
i’m a latecomer so i never experienced the series transition as a betrayal but it turns out i’m happy to be a normie casual in my goth jrpgs if i get pandered to with otome shit and shoegaze
