Did they add “Obi-Wan” in case Kenobi doesn’t ring a bell?

It’s obviously access journalism but the details about e.g. Filoni instinctively disliking Grogu are interesting. He is Lucas’s Charlie Bucket but it doesn’t sound like they’ve given him the authority to see it through.

This article made me sad

Seems the plan is to have every single action figure show up in some episode of some show, or build a whole show around them, and then make action figures for that new show, and then build out shows around those new action figures

“What’s unique about Star Wars is that we’re one story, basically,” says Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “

I guess this is the “ah, this is where I get off this train” point for me. Mandalorian was exciting and interesting to me when it felt like they’d figured out how to put together a new story with new characters. And then Boba Fett showed up, and then Luke showed up for that godawful scene at the end of season 2, and now the idea of watching another season of these tightly threaded excavations of the singular throughline of the sacred canon feels exhausting.

I watched the first couple Visions and honestly they didn’t do anything for me. I thought it was weird because I’m a massive Animatrix fan. Hard to pin down what left me so cold. The animation was certainly top quality. I think storywise they’re just kind of bone dry cliches with a coat of Star Wars paint; Animatrix by contrast told a bunch of really unique and sometimes even subtle fiction-specific stories.

i think there only ended up being 2 which were interesting in any real way. and i’d struggle to tell you what they were.

and season 3 has to be a series of family guy type cartoons

Animatrix is definitely superior, no doubt. I’m just sick of Star Wars canon

There were too many stories about crystals

Other than that I thought they were cool though

I would definitely want the next anthology to be way less Jedi-focused for sure.

Give me a g.d. Podracing short
