These two extremely authentic u_u SpielbergxLucas posts are making me pour lye into my eyes
Good
cate blanchettâs accent was an abomination and shia labeef is the fucking worst blight upon cinema of the 00s
The action was incoherent cg shit but thatâs par for the course.
There is however nothing wrong with harrison ford surviving a nuke by hiding in a fridge, that was the only good part.
indy 4 was so bad i never went to a theatre again
Weirdest thing about everyoneâs reaction to Indy 4 was that, like, Last Crusade isnât good
I watched it last year and was shocked how much of it was cartoon 3 panel gag nonsense.
i went through all of them a couple years back and they all get progressively kind of worse. Temple of Doom has its uh issues, but it at least leans into the pulp fiction kind of thing even more than the original, which is sort of fun. Last Crusade was the first one i saw in theaters as a child, so iâll always hold it dear for terrifying me as i watched my first decapitation scene that haunted me for a while, but itâs kind of milquetoast
Temple of Doom is the worst one imo. Last Crusade at least has a few good sequences but Temple of Doom was a hyper-violent, racist disney ride.
Honestly, Indiana Jones is a franchise that is better off dead, and perhaps forgotten. It is really not worth preserving
Some scenes stand out as particularly bad, but there are some good action sequences ppl slept on because they were distracted by CGI monkeys (bad) and giant ants (very good, actually)
Also every Indiana Jones movie has aged more poorly than every Star Wars movie which is incredible to me because I would have considered myself more of an Indiana Jones fan than a Star Wars fan until the summer of CA. like 2010 when I got extremely stoned and watched all six star wars movies in canon order on a single day. Zealotry of the converted I guess
You know whatâs good? Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure.
I can hear this image.
TuktuktuktuktukâŚ
Iâm still super behind on this stuff, but I just watched the Mandelorian episode with the ex-imperial reintegration program, and it was great to get a whiff of that sweet sweet Last Jedi energy after so long.
Saw a guy wearing Mandalorian sweatpants today.
Ok I know this is coming off of like 100 episodes of a cartoon Iâll never watch so I may be missing some context here but how can they do anything with Thrawn now that 7-9 and the First Order and all that bullshit exists?
its a valid question and donât hate me for actually answering itâthrawn was actually never mentioned in the old clone wars continuity because it was all prequels stuff. after the disney merger they threw out all the old EU canon not expliclitly referenced in the clone wars show, but re-introduced Thrawn as an imperial general during the Rebels (pre Episode IV) era
that series ended with him being carried off into deep space by intergalactic whales (really) and so apparently the new show picks up post-ROTJ with
âsomehow general thrawn has returnedâ
presumably all of the drama that ensues from this will have to reach its conclusion prior to the events of episode 7, at which point no one will ever speak of it again
ok u_u is underselling the whales, the beastmaster class jedi kid communing with organic hyperspace fauna rules
