meauxdal your kf2 runs are hypnotic, i love watching the deftness of your movements
it’s a slow dance done fast, all graceful gliding over well-explored surfaces
“Cheese it, it’s the KOPs”
this might sound weird but if anyone wants to be like
oh yeah meauxdal, I KNOW THEM
do it
claim ownership over me and show me off like a trophy
i got beaten
so that there’s someone to keep me accountable: i’m guna commit here to doing some indie game speedruns at some point while I’m in lock-down. I’ve already got a couple lined up but I’m guna do some more practice before i choose which to run.
Damn it’s finally heating up! Races for WR are always more exciting than WR monopolies
i only raced for myself and my setup is appalling but i could maybe stream like this. Getting a splitter working on a mac seems like an impossible problem thus far. it looks like i will have to accept a few milliseconds delay
i’ve heard folks recommending llanfair for macos, i’m guessing you tried that already?
yeah i got llanfair to run, but never to accept a split file or generate its own, and the support/development for llanfair was dropped years ago. i’ve managed to get a thing called Time Split Tracker to work. It accepts a plain .txt file for the segments and can save over the original files and it all seems rather nice. but nothing accepts global commands that i’ve found, which means that i will always be working with a slight delay between when i press “start” or “stop” and when i actually start or stop the run. I know that global commands are a thing that the time split tracker dev is aware of, but they’re not implemented yet. It’s probs the best option for now tho. Certainly better than the online version of livesplitter.
i managed to get global commands working, and even some neat cute stuff that i think might be fun to have on stream. it was all a huge pain in the arse but it seems to work now.
maybe i will do a test stream at some point.
the tracker i ended up using is that time split tracker.
hey i’m going to do a little baby stream in a little bit (idk maybe 10 mins, maybe half an hour; whenever i get up the guts) over at twitch.tv/multipledogs
I’m going to try and get the preliminary times down for this game I wanna run.
THIS IS EXCITING
“i am a dog. wuff wuff” - dogs, 2020
thanks everyone who came along. that was really fun. I’ll defs add some more stuff to my voice commands and my splitter, but otherwise i think i was pretty well prepared.
i’m going to speedrun 0_abyssalSomewhere in the next… hour? hour and a half? soon? It’s a real short game. idk how much speedrun capacity the game really has but i love it a lot and want to show others. please come and hang out and see my ~new setup~ (it’s very cool and i spent a long time on it).
