It’s not the last Monday of the month, but tonight’s another FORT90 FILM CLUB anyway; a new job means that I don’t have the time to stream till five in the morning like before, which is why I’m splitting things across multiple weeks. also, there’s that earlier start time, 8PM EST. and since time is the issue, time is the theme, starting with…

Alright, tonight’s part 2 of my look at movies that are not about time travel per se, and instead simply… about time. And am happy to finally have a chance to show another all-time fave of mine…

TONIGHT is a special kinda/sorta Valentine’s edition of the FORT90 FILM CLUB x Wonderville. And the headliner is a Wong Kar Wai kinda/sorta melodrama (yeah, guess you could say that about all of his movies)…
Followed by a film that, among its many notorious distinctions, made Venice Film Festival goers pass out & vomit in their seats (actually it’s mostly marred by the reputation of its director, less said the better)

TONIGHT is the start of a series of vehicular themed screenings, and first up are a trio of movies that involve trains, so as a New Yorker, I basically HAVE to kick things off with…
Afterwards is a comedy, and IMHO, one of the most underrated comedies of the 80s (which is saying a lot, I know)…
And finally is, again IMHO, one of the greatest action flicks of the 80s that basically no one talks about…

BTW/FYI, got another FORT90 TV broadcast from Wonderville tonight and it’s once not all that FORT90 FILM CLUB adjacent TBH, and yet, here’s an incredible music video from the 60s from a YouTube account that specializes in 4K transfer of old 35mm print, so that has to count, right?
