Circuit bending video box getting some good colors and odd like… screen slicing and re-arranging effects.
Had to learn micro soldering to access the video ram. Q-Tip head for scale
I use my phone in a phone tripod as a magnifier. To do it I just learned the moves basically. Its like casting a spell. The solder flows where the heat goes. Float it in a pool of flux and swipe it over the contacts with the iron.

I made a couple more portraits of my friend snorb’s ZZT characters.
This guy here is “Keygan.” He is the most unhelpful key shop owner there is. He exists for the explicit purpose of wasting the player’s time by going on absurdly long and inane rants (these are trollgames), which always trend towards the author’s personal fixations in science-fiction and fantasy:
After making this, we determined that his combination of spikey hair, his ability to waste time, and the fact that he never shuts up means that he is Crono’s Waluigi (the science checks out).
As for this other guy, apparently the narrator of these games has been a plushie of the author’s most direct self-insert character. I’m certain I’ve heard this before, but it surprised me nonetheless to hear it this past week:
(the main feature snorb insisted on for this plushie is that it should have the same pose and expression as a Clefairy doll)

I think its soapy by itself but it fills a hole in the flavor picture of a lof of dishes.

are all of these meant to be based on previous projects of yours? or just kinda random/unrelated stuff? i recognize lake of roaches, glimby, super eagle, and “mouse friends” is slightly reminding me of mouse corp, but i don’t recognize any of the others… either way, i love all of these! your art style is so cool, your work is a big inspiration for me :3
