Haven’t posted in a while. Here’s some recent bits, struggled to get the screentone effect right in the first one, but I still like it. I’ve pencilled a comic digitally first time, which was fun and freeing, but also daunting with the amount of options available.

I get in hyperfocus modes when I find a brush I like in clip studio and wanted to try gradients, so did these

Made this for another prompt a day thing. You chase a round object around your paper with somethin’. I dusted the paper with water soluble powdered graphite and chased an egg around with a square brush, then some marbles with a wet round brush
I won’t pretend it’s deep but it was fun to make

I haven’t updated my progress in a long while, goodness. Still poking away at it and having got more of the colours from the store helped keep motivation high. The oranges are my favourite part because they are much more satisfying to slot into place than the tans or the browns. Plus the pattern has them as more contiguous pieces instead of scattered randomly as other colours are, so finding where I am is a lot easier.

casual reference to the webcomic characters “settling down”. I keep thinking of making it a “gamers on the couch” webcomic after this arc. Or at least leaving it in some form where I could come back to it if I wanted to, but it’s wrapped up sufficiently.
