I drew this a year and a half ago but I see it every day and it makes feel good about myself! It also makes me feel like, hmm, I could’ve made cleaner marks in this part and changed the line weight in that part. Anyways, hope you like it.

But what if she had the uniform from Patlabor??

just look at her, ready to throw fists! original sprite from my pico-8 prototype included for comparison. still making the same game, i just want to be able to throw more tiles in there, and control the palette.

i’m thinking of the grey leotard as a placeholder outfit. haven’t quite settled on what i’d like it to be instead though.

Scene from near the end of Liber Perturbatio. Peter the dragon is having a psychotic break at an inopportune time, ranting about the “rider with a bow” from the book of revelation. Johnathon Programmer, who is pissed at him for the events of the game up until now, breaks his bow

Aahhhh

what do you draw with on an ipad? i tried procreate but i’ve yet to find a brush i like.

Procreate, actually. A lot of my doodles have been experimenting with different brushes and seeing how I feel about them.

I’m mostly doing linework with ‘ink’ brushes, and filling in with brushes that remind me of physical media I like, such as Copic markers.

Did a blender tutorial (my first time making something in blender from a tutorial), but I pushed myself to do something the tutorial declared “too hard and tedious to work out for little pay off” (the screw pattern on the lightbulbs) and I’m pleased that that part looks right.

Also futzing with how procedural textures work but the wood grain texture I made didn’t look believable enough (with my paucity of knowledge) so I scrapped it.

Those are great light bulbs!

Do you use the default blender ui or do you customize it in any way?

wholly default but with a few of the included plugins turned on because they make my life easier (Node Wrangler, Bool Tools, AutoMirror)

reflecting on this post alongside other thoughts i’ve been having lately and realizing that what interests me right now is visual obfuscation (as opposed to clarity) so i looked through some older photographs with a different mindset, zooming in far enough that the specifics are lost in a smear of pixels

Yeah I did the jacket images.
Its video of a boat on a river I think, run through circuit-bent SD video equipment. The front titles were added with a Panasonic character generator that hooks into my video mixer.
The inside is more circuit-bent video noise.
It was all screenshot’d with a capture card.
Though now that I look at it again the titles are really softened up. I dunno if this got a VHS pass or if it was softened after I sent him the files.

The actual layout and spine title / tracs was done by John (the musician) before sending it to the label.
