This is my favorite thing about Quake 
No wonder you like Thumper. It’s the best example of this I can think of. It would be even better if Thumper did not allow you to pause or turn the game off until you beat a stage.

lsd was really fucking amazing to me when it came out, wow. games arent just levels of combat, ooo the colors. but what i really actually like is the internet ten years later where everyone has played and is inspired by it and making better games from it. for example: we all thought we were cool and meditative playing lsd one dream per day. but i hated that, i wanted to keep going and i could if i wanted. they should have stopped me. GUESS WHAT MICHAEL BROUGH DID IN VESPER.5
i like games that remind me of lsd more than LSD
there’s a bunch of developers who say im gonna make the next ffvi and what happens? they ruin a friend group full of idea guys who break their computers trying to balance rpg maker battles
i hate games that remind me of final fantasy 6. they’re always soulless husks

polls are now closed, and with intriguing results! there are two ties for this round; disco elysium vs. shiren the wanderer, and nier vs. legend of zelda. the rules state that any ties are broken by a melty blood match between representatives for each game. does anyone want to volunteer? cc @slime @dedede69 idk who the other big melty players on here are but feel free to ping them.
in the meantime, we’ll move forward with the certain results and start a new thread shortly.
