Update- this thing worked pretty well! I finally used this for my flash and it was so much more convenient than I was expecting. The connector easily slides into the holster with a click, and it freely rotates so the flash naturally sites straight on my side. Then I can easily rotate the flash onto its side so I can depress the holster lock and pull the flash out. This feels a little smoother and easier to use than the Peak Design Clip actually. The only difference is that since the attachment on your device is an adhesive, you can’t just move it between different items like you could the Peak Design Clip. And I assume one day in the future that adhesive has got to wear out and my flash will crash onto the floor (not that that’s never happened before). It looks like a pretty strong adhesive at least.

hey is anyone up? i looked at some cameras at the thrift shop today and i’m thinking… (between exchange rates and the discount i can get at the shop today you can assume that each of these would cost half the labelled price in USD. also i looked through all the viewfinders etc and they seemed fine)

listed below

canon eos kiss x2 / rebel xsi / 450d, with a bag of stuff. my partner has a newer shinier canon slr already so like, on the one hand why would we need another camera, on the other we already have canon slr stuff. the uv filter is nice to have of course

Agfa Optima III. this is sold as-is, as opposed to the other stuff which has a lil guarantee on it. but gosh it looks neat

hanimex 35 wf. there’s like nothing on the web about this, hanimex rebranded and imported a bunch of cameras from around the place. it’s cheap and looks cool though

there was a pentax film point n shoot there for $100 but it just kind of looked like a boring 00s camera so i didn’t look too closely

the canon is probably best bet as far as functioning cameras but maybe only if you want a separate camera from your partner’s. otherwise the other stuff looks more interesting qua objects and to tinker with.

yeah as soon as i got home the whole situation felt a lot less urgent lol. thnku for looking it over though!

I’m a lame phone photographer now. Was too lazy to carry my old DSLR up there.

I bought a Ricoh GR1s last year, but whenever that gives up the ghost I’m happy to see a brand new 35mm point and shoot will be on the market. This new “Rollei” 35 will be manufactured by Mint, which is a company that I’ve bought SX-70 accessories from in the past and sounds pretty reputable unlike say, the owner of the new Yashica brand with their wack kickstarter cameras these past few years.

i had to do so much staging to get this shot, basically had to stuff the scarves into the air tunnel apparatus thing and then quickly grab my camera before it shot out into the air for my kid

i feel like i’ve been on the cusp of a ricoh gr1s for years, love how tiny they are

I decided to go back to a park just to chill and read a book and not take my camera with me again. Bad decision, again! Who knew nature changed in different seasons.
